Cadillac’s all-new, full-size sedan will bow at the 2015 New York auto show, but its name remains a mystery. Cadillac can’t afford to sit out on the small-car craze sweeping through luxury automakers. Buyers shopping for a badge rather than a car look right past Cadillac’s $33,990 ATS to the Mercedes-Benz CLA-class and the Audi A3, both of which start under $31,000. Record Month For Cadillac Sales in May

Since I have been out in Phoenix all I am seeing is brand new ATS, SRX, and XTS’s. I guess todays press release from Cadillac explains the reasons for that. Cadillac had a record number for sales in the month of May. I wish I could see a breakdown of exactly how many sold by state because I am sure Arizona has to be one of the best states when it comes to sales.

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, June 3, 2014

DETROIT – Cadillac’s U.S. sales showed continued growth with an increase of 6.4 percent in May, the best May since 2007. More than half of Cadillac buyers in May were new to the brand, not trading in a Cadillac vehicle.

The SRX crossover continues to sell at a record pace through the first five months of 2014, increasing 27 percent year over year. May also marked the best May ever in total and retail sales for the SRX.

With the next-generation 2015 Escalade on sale for a full month, total sales increased 30.3 percent year over year. The Escalade recorded its best May in total sales since 2008 and best May retail sales since 2007.

The 2014 Cadillac CTS sport sedan sales increased 39 percent year over year in May. The brand estimates the CTS has gained an additional 1 percentage point of market share in its midsize luxury car segment. The 2014 CTS has been named Motor Trend Car of the Year, one of Car and Driver’s 10 Best, Road & Track’s 2013 Luxury Car, an Edmunds.com Top Rated Vehicle and an Automobile Magazine 2014 All-Star.

“Cadillac’s elevated product portfolio continues to drive growth and attract new buyers to the brand,” said Bill Peffer, Cadillac U.S. vice president for sales and service. “And our continued growth last month marks our best May since 2007.”

Earlier this spring, Cadillac was also rated highest in customer satisfaction with dealer service among luxury brands by J.D. Power and named a J.D. Power 2014 Customer Champion.
Cadillac has been a leading luxury auto brand since 1902. Today Cadillac is growing globally, driven by an expanding product portfolio featuring dramatic design and technology. Cadillacs That Helped Shape the Company
14 great cars from America’s most enduring luxury brand Cadillac!Cadillac was formed in 1902 by Henry Leland, an engineer who named his new company after a French explorer who founded Detroit. A former gunsmith, Leland understood precision craftsmanship. That dedication to quality earned Cadillac a reputation for excellence and sparked the “Standard of the World” ad slogan that would define the brand. Cadillac was indeed the standard of the world through the 1960s, but its reputation diminished in the latter part of the 20th century. A product renaissance that started in the early 2000s continues to this day, and Cadillac’s current models once again rank among the world’s best.

Welcome CadillacCountryClub Members

Hi Gang

So this is the little secret I have been telling you about for a while now. We have a new sister site here where it will be mostly about Cadillacs from 2000 until present day. I chose 2000 as the year because it is a nice clean break to start from. I am sure you have some questions so let me address them.

Question: Vinny why the second site?
Answer: I want to keep Cadillaccountryclub all about classic Cadillacs and vintage Cadillacs. You know the struggle I have had over the years with the classic vs new so this will eliminate the problem. The guys that want classic can stay at the club where it will be normal as it always was. People looking for the latest information can come here.

Question: We like your auto show pictures and info will they still be on Cadillaccountryclub?
Answer: Yes they will be! They just won’t have full dedicated post on them. The post will contain classic Cadillac pictures and info as they usually do but at the end of the newsletter you will have a “Over at Caddychat” section.

Question: Should I subscribe to the Caddychat newsletter?
Answer: Yes if you are interested in new Cadillac information and you want to see the info right away. The link in the newsletter may come a few days after the Cadillaccountryclub newsletter.

Question: Will we get less newsletters over at Cadillaccountryclub?
Answer: No you won’t it will be about the same as usual. If anything you may get them more frequently since the last section about Caddychat will already be written for me.

Question: What else will be on the new site?
Answer: I really like following Cadillac racing so there will be more updates on that. I have shot pictures professionally at NASCAR races for a few years and would love to go to a race with Cadillacs and take pictures. The site will also have more specs on the newer Cadillacs as well as news directly from Cadillac.

Question: Can I contribute to the new site?
Answer: I am setting up a section that will be a fill in the blank sort of thing where you will be able to write an article about your Cadillac and share a picture. Since I am more old school than new I would welcome anyone that feels they can contribute to the site. Send me an email vinny@caddychat.com

Question: I am subscribed to the YouTube videos on the Cadillaccountryclub will there be a Caddychat channel?
Answer: To keep things simple I am only going to use the existing YouTube account for both sites.

Question: What about Social media channels? Will they change?
Answer: The only thing different about that is that Caddychat has its own Facebook page. I ask you to like it that page also and help spread the word. Just like the sites Caddychat will have more newer Cadillac pictures and Cadillaccountryclub Facebook page will have classic and vintage pictures and info.
